What is the nature of God? What is the meaning of life? Have you thought about these questions recently? This week at Washington State, students involved with CRU will engage with others on campus about some of these big questions. The point of this event is to create dialogue between Christians and others who believe different things or are still on their spiritual journey. Each day of the week will focus on a new question, which students will use for their Facebook statuses, and use a way of starting conversation with friends,...

For the first 3 weeks of February, students and staff with Campus Crusade for Christ at WSU will be engaging with people around them with the purpose of surfacing spiritual beliefs and opinions. Each week on campus will have a separate, collective emphasis on how we engage with people around us – based on different ways that Jesus interacted with those people that didn’t yet know him in the Bible. First, Jesus would initiate with people, and this will be the emphasis during the first week of February. Jesus (and spiritual things,...

This past week at the Campus Crusade for Christ weekly meeting, we gave students the opportunity to do 2 things: First, we gave the students who want to attend our annual cru conference (themed “Amplify”) a chance to let us know what financial barriers they have and how much help they would need in order to go. We also gave an opportunity for fellow Cougs to support their friends and people wanting to go. So far, we have over $500 given from Cougs for Cougs! Praise the Lord! The conference this year will allow students to engage...

Campus Crusade for Christ has many ministries around the world, and one of those ministries is the Jesus Film Project. The Jesus Film Project has taken the Jesus Film and translated it into over 1,100 languages, and has shown those films in every country of the world. Small groups are an essential part of Cru at WSU. Small groups allow us to connect with the Lord in a way that we will never experience on our own or in a large group. We have a form that we are asking people to fill out so we can get them better plugged into small groups around campus under the direction of Cru. You can find the form here. If you have questions, you can either comment on this post, or send an email to us through this address. We are looking forward to seeing how the Lord will use small groups around campus to bring Him...

Washington State University hosts an all-campus picnic the Friday before class starts every fall semester. That picnic is a great opportunity to meet lots of new students and interact with university clubs and businesses from the community. We (as WSU Cru) setup a booth alongside the other university clubs and businesses each year. We’ve found this to be a great place to serve freshman by giving them gifts (like the laundry bag we handed out this year) in exchange for having them fill out a survey. In the past, our main purpose for the...

This Friday, August 20th, 2010, WSU Dining Services will be hosting the annual “All Campus Picnic.” From 11:00am-1:30pm there will be students and members of the community gathering at the Mooberry Track Field to enjoy a BBQ lunch (burgers, dogs, and the fixin’s most likely) and meet people from around the WSU Campus. We (Campus Crusade for Christ “Cru” at WSU), will be giving out free laundry bags to college freshman in exchange for a survey. Rumor has it that we may also be doing a drawing for a large prize...

This Friday, we are hosting a dinner & seminar for seniors at Washington State University in order to help them transition into life after college. One of Campus Crusade for Christ‘s goals is to send every person into their community as an ambassador for Christ. Many college students that are involved with Campus Crusade for Christ in college have a great experience during college, but have difficulty making the transition into engaging into their community (whether it be at work, at home, or at their church). Our...
